🍁 Tips & Info

Use as door or wall decor! We include large leaves for hall or classroom display that say, “We are thankful for.” Hang those above all the finished trees!

Make a Thanksgiving Placemat: Don’t cut out the tree. Instead, have students glue their leaves directly on the tree page. Laminate the page, and you’ve made a beautiful waterproof placemat to use at Thanksgiving dinner!

Extension Idea: Once everyone has completed their trees, ask each kid to take a turn reading their leaves aloud. My students have always really loved this part! It helps them share about their lives, get to know each other better, and promotes a positive classroom environment.

For Younger Students: K-1 students may need help with cutting and writing words. I like to pre-cut the leaves for my youngest students so we can keep things moving along!
