And one of our all time favorite family Christmas activities is this Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt. It’s become tradition to load our kids in the car, give them a fun holiday pencil and a cup of hot cocoa, and let them have a blast searching the neighborhood for all the items on the list.

It works as a fun activity on any night during the Christmas season, even if you find yourself bored on Christmas Eve!

🎄The Scavenger Hunt

The scavenger hunt is made up of a list of some of the most common display items, and it’s complete with a picture of every item, that way even kids who can’t yet read can participate independently from the backseat.

Each of the 22 items in the scavenger hunt are shown with a colorful picture. Why? Well, these work as clues for children who can’t yet read! Here’s what they’ll need to find:
